A basic hotel with modern facilities in a very nice small town. We only spent one night there and would spend another if we found ourselves in the area. The hotel is very convenient for access to both Biboa and Santander.
After spending only 1 night we don't feel qualified to comment
Very clean modern hotel. Helpful staff who also speak a good level of English. Excellent tapas at the bar. Great for spa treatments too. Overall an excellent hotel in a lovely little village. Would definitely stay here again.
Only one small negative - the breakfast coffee wasn't very hot!
Very smart hotel. Friendly helpful reception staff, with good standard of English Clean, spacious, uncluttered, practical rooms. Loved the underfloor heating. Free parking on-site. The option of reasonably priced, though not gastronomically mindblowing buffet dinner. Can't comment on the breakfast as we made our own arraignments. Not sure if the empty fridge in our room was supposed to be a mini bar or not, but we found it useful anyway. Free functional Wifi in rooms. Quiet location, the only noise we could hear from outside was the cow bells jingling in the nearby fields. The noise insulation between the rooms is less effective though - amorous couples take note ;)
A little bit far from Bilbao - a car is a must. Yet another inaccurate Booked.net location map icon (possibly not the hotel's fault - but don't bother trying to use it as a navigation aid - the hotel's on the main road at the northern edge of the town). A strange drain-like smell some areas of the hotel. This maybe a one off problem, poss due to intense rain during our stay.
Nice natural surroundings, modern room, very good free wifi
Rooms have thin walls, I could hear everything what was going on in the neighbour room
The views, the town, the staff, the room, pretty much everything was cool.
Nothing. Everything was awesome.
Staff helpful, roomsvery good
Full of old people, a nightmare!!! Swimming pool/Spa on reservation and only 1 hour/day!!!
Everything! Very clean, friendly staff, good breakfast. Didn't try evening meal. Handy for visiting Bilbao, the coast and the Rioja wine area.
Off the beaten track but also well placed to visit Bilbao, the coast and also the mountains; the Arraba plateau is fantastic - about 1 1/2 hour's walk up from carpark; get a map from the information centre (Parketzea) in the village plaza. Staff very friendly; some speak English well. Lovely old village, with excellent outdoor swimming pools. We didn't use the hotel spa but it looked good (you have to pay extra to use the hotel pool). You can eat in the hotel but we ate out in Dima for the same cost and more atmosphere - ask the staff on reception for recommendations.
It wasn't clear on the website that it costs extra to use the hotel pool, although we suspected it would. There was nothing for vegetarians except chips on request. It would be really helpful to have more information available on open display (eg map of the village, map of walks).
The spa. The location was convenient to our needs. The staff was very attentive including the chambermaid and the spa rep - Rocio.
No active internet during our 3 night stay... The selection of the dinner buffet changed for the worse from the time we decided to eat until we went there half an hour later. Lots of flies in the room.
The village was nice, but lacked dinner alternatives. The room was clean and nice.
Poor information upon arrival on where to find a nice restaurant in the area and even that there was a buffet available in the hotel itself. And we just found out when checking out that there was a spa in the hotel! No information about that in the lobby.
Very friendly staff, we travelled with a dog and the staff made a fuss of her which is welcoming. It is a lovely modern Hotel the room was spotless and definately worth more than we paid. We enjoyed a good breakfast before a long journey definately recommend and suspect we will visit them again on our travels.
This is a modern looking hotel but on the outskirts of an old mountain village which was nice to explore. We stayed for one night on a travelling holiday. The room was clean and comfortable and good value. Good views of the valley from the terrace.
The village had a few bars but options for eating mid-week were limited. We were told that there were more possibilities for eating out during the weekend. The food in the hotel was buffet style and very basic. The 'restaurant' area was also very sparse and a bit like eating a meal in a brightly lit gymnasium.
Dont e pect to be able to use any of the pool or spa facilities as a hotel guest! I was told that as we booked via Booked.net, we had to pay, and to use the relaxing pool etc, and no treatments would cost nearly 40 euros just for 1 hour for my wife and children only - so we didnt get use of the facilities that were the reason we booked the hotel! The other issue we had was that in a hot area, and with rooms above heated spa facilities, there was no air conditioning, so sleep was very difficult, if not impossible, as it was so hot in the room? For those two reasons i would never go back, even though we often visit the region.
Nice, new and clean product near to Bilbao and San Sebastian
